In the spirit of being more careful with my money, I figured I would set myself a limit of £10 for food this week.  I'm lucky because a lot of the staple things are already in the house, because my parents shop separately and part of the being careful with how much I'm spending on food involves making better/more use of the things at home and ( Read more... )

Ducks are great  :)

It was lovely outside this morning. Not as bitterly cold as it has been on previous mornings and it’s also beginning to be light by the time I get to the station. It makes it much easier to face going into work when it doesn’t feel like you are getting up in the middle of the night! Now I’m just waiting for it to get a bit lighter in the evenings ( Read more... )

Today is a bit more of a struggle than yesterday was, as my small-ish reserves of energy are almost depleted and it’s not even lunch time. I’m also fast running out of the ‘less demanding’ work and am worrying this may mean having to do some of the work involving making phone calls, which I just don’t feel ready for yet!

It was a beautiful morning when I left the house for work today, as I was up with the sun and the sky and the clouds were tinged in the most fabulous pink colour. I sat at the station watching it fade into the blue of the day and it put me in such a good mood.
